WorldVision Song Contest 01 - New York City

United States

 The 1st Edition of WorldVision Song Contest was held in New York City (USA) and had 22 participants. It was a very exiting show and all countries wanted to be the first ever winner of WSC. The participants were 18 from Europe, 1 from Oceania, 2 from America and 1 from Asia. 

 The host country (USA) won with 121 points, making 'Halo' by Beyoncé the first ever winning song in WorldVision Song Contest. This song received 12 points from 5 countries and finished with 33 points more than 2nd place United Kingdom, represented by Little Boots with 'Remedy'. Belarus finished in 3rd place with 'Peripheria' by Topless.

WorldVision Song Contest 02 - Los Angeles

Australia

The 2nd Edition of WorldVision Song Contest was held in Los Angeles (USA) and had 24 participants. It was a very exiting show and all countries wanted to be the winner of WSC. The participants were 19 from Europe, 1 from Oceania, 2 from America and 2 from Asia. 

The winning country was Australia with 118 points. Natalie Imbruglia was the second winner and the second female singer to win WSC, with her 97'sucess 'Torn'. The host country (USA) finished in second place, just 1 point behind (117points), with 'Bad Romance' by Lady GaGa. United Kingdom fall from second to third place with 'Happy' performed by Leona Lewis with 112points. But the Uk entry broke the record of more 12points, winning 6 in the total.

WorldVision Song Contest 03 - Sydney

Sweden
 
The 3rd Edition of WorldVision Song Contest was held in Sydney (Australia) and had 31 participants. It was a very exiting show that broke a lot of records, like participants and points for example. 7 countries debuted in WSC and 6 of them went to the Final where Mexico and Hungary finished in TOP10.

The winning country was Sweden with an amazing record of 207 points. The winning song was 'Release Me', performed by Agnes Carlsson, the third female winner. United Kingdom finished in second place with 'Bad Boys' (161points) performed by Alexandra Burke in duet with Flo-Rida. Cyprus finished in third place with 154points with the song 'Pio Konta' performed by Kostas Martakis. This song also had more 12points. Host country, Australia, finished in 5th place with 97 points, just behind Netherlands with 118 points.

WorldVision Song Contest 04 - Stockholm

Hungary
 

The 4th Edition of WorldVision Song Contest was held in Stockholm (Sweden) and had 35 participants. This edition had 5 debuts, Argentina, Macedonia, Moldova, Poland and Romania and 1 withdraw from Netherlands. For the first time ever 3 countries were disqualified, Ireland and Liechtenstein because didn't vote in Semi-Final and Argentina because didn't vote in the Final.

The winning country was Hungary with 124 points. The winning song was 'Can't Let Go', performed by Hungarian-American singer Linda Király. Cyprus finished in second place with 'GIA' (109points) performed by greek diva Despina Vandi. Luxembourg finished in third place with 107points with the song 'Reprogram My Heart' performed by german singer Linda Teodosiu. The country with most 12points were Chile (6times) that finished in 7th place. The host country (Sweden) finished in 23th place with 41points.

WorldVision Song Contest 05 - Budapest

France

The 5th Edition of WorldVision Song Contest was held in Budapest (Hungary) and had a record of 41 participants. This edition had 7 debuts, Canada, Estonia, Italy, Russia, San Marino, Thailand and Venezuela and 1 withdraw from Switzerland.It was the most exiting show ever.

The winning country was France with 156 points. The winning song was 'When Love Takes Over', performed by French DJ David Guetta featuring the American singer Kelly Rowland. USA finished in second place with 'Time For Miracles' (148 points) performed by Adam Lambert. Italy finished in third place with 130points with the song 'Calma E Sangue Freddo' performed by Luca Dirisio, that was also the best debut ever on WSC. The country with most 12points were USA (7times). The host country (Hungary) finished in last  place with 52points.

WorldVision Song Contest 06 - Paris

Ireland

The 6th Edition of WorldVision Song Contest was held in Paris(France) and had a record of 42 participants. This edition had 3 debuts, Albania, Colombia and Israel, 2 withdraw from Belarus and Venezuela and 1 disqualification from Russia, because didn't vote in Semi-Final.

The winning country was Ireland with 172 points. The winning song was the amazing hit from The Corrs 'Breathless'. USA finished in second place once again with girlsband Pussycat Dolls and the ballad 'I Hate This Part' (147 points). Australia finished in third place with 133points with the ballad 'Because' performed by Jessica Mauboy, making Australia the only country that was always in TOP10. The country with most 12points were the winner Ireland and Moldova (5times). The host country (France) finished in 19th place with 73points.

WorldVision Song Contest 07 - Dublin

Colombia

The 7th Edition of WorldVision Song Contest was held in Dublin (Ireland) and had a record of 43 participants. This edition had 2 debuts from Czech Republic and  Lebanon, 1 returning country, The Netherlands, and 1 withdraw from Malta.

The winning country was Colombia with 173 points. The winning song was 'Whenever Wherever' sung by Latin Pop/Rock queen Shakira. USA finished once again in second place with Black Eyed Peas and their song 'I Gotta A Feeling' (135 points). Norway finished in third place with 134points with the song 'Jealous 'Cause I Love You' performed by Venke Knutson. From 2nd to 6th place all countries had a distance of just 1point. The country with most 12points was United Kingdom (6times). The host country (Ireland) finished in 22nd place with 62points.

WorldVision Song Contest 08 - Bogotá

Portugal

The 8th Edition of WorldVision Song Contest was held in Bogotá (Colombia), for the first time WSC has held in Latin America, and had 43 participants. This edition had 1 debut from Ukraine, 1 returning country, Russia, and 1 withdraw from Iceland.

The winning country was Portugal with a record of 244 points. The winning song was 'Canta Por Mim'  sung by Catarina Pereira. Sweden finished in second place with Timoteij and their song 'Kom' (177 points). Netherlands finished in third place with 140points with the song 'Not That Kinda Girl' performed by dutch singer Kim-Lian in duet with swedish singer Linda Bendgtzing. The host country (Colombia) finished in 20th place with 73points.

This edition broke many records:

=> Portugal win with a record of 244 points;

=> Sweden finished with the best 2nd place ever (177 points);

=> A swedish band and a swedish singer in duet for Netherlands finished in 2nd and 3rd places;

=> Thailand finished 4th, the best result for an asian country;

=> For the first time a non-english song won and another one became 2nd;

=> Portugal had fifteen 12 points.

WorldVision Song Contest 09 - Lisbon

 Germany

The 9th Edition of WorldVision Song Contest was held in Lisbon (Portugal) and had 43 participants. This edition had 1 debut from Monaco, 1 returning country, Iceland, and 2 withdraw from Romania and Ireland.

The winning country was Germany with 189 points. The winning song was 'Stamp On The Ground' sung by german dance project ItaloBrothers. Lebanon finished in second place with Brigit Yaghi and her arabic song 'Alby W Omry' (149points), making  Lebanon scored the best place for an Asian country. Sweden fall from second to third palce with the song 'Sleepless' (135points) performed by young singer Eric Saade. The country with most 12points was the winner Germany with a total of 6. The host country (Portugal) finished in 24th place with 45points and Russia was Disqualified.

WorldVision Song Contest 10 - Berlin

Belgium

The 10th Edition of WorldVision Song Contest was held in Berlin (Germany) and had 42 participants. This edition had 2 debuts from Morocco and Serbia, 1 returning country, Romania, and 4 withdraw from Estonia, Czech Republic, Greece and Russia.

The winning country was Belgium with 166 points. The winning song was another dance song called 'The Rain' by Peter Luts. Turkey finished in second place with their Diva and former ESC-winner Sertab Erener and the song 'Here I am' (162points), that almost got the first place. Serbia made a great debut finishing third palce with the song 'Face' (141points) performed by Milan Stankovic. Just Italy had made a debut like Serbia in WSC. The country with most 12points was the winner Belgium with a total of 6. The host country (Germany) finished in 22nd place with 68points.

WorldVision Song Contest 11 - Bruges

United Kingdom

The 11th Edition of WorldVision Song Contest was held in the european capital of Love, Bruges(Belgium) and had 40 participants. This edition had 3 debuts from China, South Africa and Vatican, 1 returning country, Greece, and 6 withdraw from Sweden, Colombia, Italy, Romania, Finland and Japan.

The winning country was United Kingdom, after a lot of good results they won the show with 145 points. The winning song was 'Break Your Heart' sung by pop and r&b singer Taio Cruz. USA finished in second place for the 5th time  with the gothic-rock band Evanescence and the song 'Bring Me To Life' (143points). Bulgaria finally did well with her diva DesiSlava in duet with former WSC-third place, the greek Kostas Martakis and their song 'Agapi Mou' (143points). This was one of the most exciting voting procedure ever in WSC. The country with most 12points was the winner United Kingdom with a total of 4. The host country (Belgium) finished in last place with 44points.

WorldVision Song Contest 12 - London

South Africa

The 12th Edition of WorldVision Song Contest was held in London (England) and had 42 participants. This edition had 1 debut from Austria, 6 returning countries, Colombia, Italy, Sweden, Romania, Finland and Czech Republic, and 5 withdraw from Argentina, Monaco, Netherlands, Macedonia, and Thailand.

The winning country was South Africa, and for the first time an african country won and for the fourth time the WSC-award was gave to a non-european country . The winning song was the ballad 'This Time I Know It's For Real' (193points) sung by Nádine. Finland finished in second place with the song 'En haluu kuolla tänä yönä' (178points) sung in finish for Jenni Vartiainen and making a great return for Finland, as they score the most points for a second place. Brazil did really well with her great diva Cláudia Leitte and her hit sung tottaly in portuguese 'Exttravaza' (144points), that had 12points from the host nation. The country with most 12points was Finland with a total of 8. The host country (United Kingdom) finished in 20th place with 65points.

WorldVision Song Contest 13 - Rio de Janeiro

Montenegro

The 13th Edition of WorldVision Song Contest wasn't held for the first time in the place of the last winning country South Africa but was held for the second time in South America, in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) after their bid to host the show after some problems in South Africa. This edition had a record of 48 participants. This edition had 3 debuts from Montenegro, Kyrgysztan and Uruguay, 5 returning countries, Argentina, Macedonia, Malta, Netherlands and Thailnad, and 2 withdraw from Iceland and Vatican.

The winning country was Monetenegro and this was the best debut ever for a country. Also for the second time a non-english song won. The winning song was 'Moli Moli' (Pray Pray) (185points) and was sung by serbian singer Jovana Nikolic. Colombia finished in second place with the song 'Waka Waka (This Time For Africa)' (164points) sung by former WSC-winner and pop-Diva Shakira. Norway finished in third place with Tone Damli Aaberge and the song 'Butterflies' (162points). This edition was tottaly dominated by women. Monetenegro and Colombia were the countries with the most 12points with a total of 5 each. The host country (Brazil) finished in 9th place with 106points and this was the third time the country finished in TOP10, actually with Sérgio Mendes featuring WSC-runner-up Black Eyed Peas.

WorldVision Song Contest 14 - Podgorica

United States

The 14th Edition of WorldVision Song Contest was held in Podgorica (Montenegro) and had a record of 52 participants. This edition had 7 debuts from Armenia, Bosnia&Herzegovina, India, New Zealand, Pakistan, Puerto Rico and Somalia, 6 returning countries, Cyprus, Iceland, Ireland, Japan, Russia and Switzerland, and 7 withdraw from Andorra, Canada, Greece, Kyrgyzstan, Lebanon, Poland and Serbia.For the first time 3 semi-final were made.

The winning country was United States that got their second win and broke the record of diferent winning countries since the first edition. The winning song was 'Whataya you want from me' (194points) sung by WSC fromer runner-up Adam Lambert. Norway finished in second place with the song 'Glow' (188points) sung for the duo Madcon and scoring the most points for a second place. United Kingdom finished in third place with Jade Ewen and the song 'My Man' (140points). The country with most 12points was Norway with a total of 7. The host country (Monetenegro) finished in 21st place with 79points.

WorldVision Song Contest 15 - Miami

India

The 15th Edition of WorldVision Song Contest was held in Miami (USA), making the third time that USA hosted WorldVision after New York and Los Angeles, and had a record of 62 participants. A lot of countries debuted this edition and some did really well.

The winning country was India with a record of 296points. The winning song was 'ADHD' sung by indian-norwegian singer Samsaya. Barbados made their debut with their young diva Rihanna together with american rap singer Eminem and the song 'Love the Way You Lie' that finished just one point behind India with 295points. Norway finished in third place once again with ALeksander With and the pop/rock song 'Little Too Perfect' (200points). The country with most 12points was Barbados with a total of 14. The host country (USA) finished in 14th place with 98points.

WorldVision Song Contest 16 - Mumbai

India

The 16th Edition of WorldVision Song Contest and the last of 2010 was held in Mumbai (India) and broke the record of participants with 64 in the Total.

The winning country made history in WSC, because the host nation (India) won twice in a row with 200points. The winning song was the Academy Award winning song 'Jao Ho' sung by A.R.Rahman in duet with former runner-up american girlsband The Pussycat Dolls. Costa Rica finished in second place with the pop tune 'Drummer Boy' sung by Debi Nova. Monaco return to WSC and finished in third place with the summer hit 'Zoomer' sung by Les Jumo. The country with most 12points were Monaco and Costa Rica with a total of 6 each. After this edition the WSC Gala Awards will start. WSC17 will start in 2011 in the same country where 2010 editions ended.
